Summer is just around the corner, and now your child
can enjoy the same enriching activities that country day camps Now in our 18th summer, the Downtown Day Camp is simply the most enjoyable summer experience available - and all in a nearby, safe, caring environment. Our returning camp director Russ Schulman, has worked with children in downtown Manhattan for the last two decades. Our new Downtown Community Center will be open for camp this summer! With its brand new swimming pool, art rooms, multi-media lab, dance studio, small gym, theater, classrooms and more, the Downtown Community Center will provide Downtown Day Camp with a whole new level of age-appropriate activities. These activities will be complimented by our returning field and gym sports, karate, musical performances, pier barbecues, camp carnival and other special events. Thanks to our new facility, enhanced programming, and friendly, familiar staff, we expect 2008 to be our best summer yet! The Downtown Day Camp is interested in much more than
providing a variety of fun and enriching activities for our campers. We are

special events to give your child an exciting and varied camp experience.

program. The children are grouped by grade and you may choose who your child is
grouped with. Throughout
the entire summer, the campers and counselors within your child’s group are
supervised by one of our Team Leaders. Team Leaders are
experienced teachers, pre-school owners, assistant elementary school principals,
and deans. Any and all needs that your child has may be personally addressed and
managed by one of these extremely competent and experienced professionals. This
is a level of supervision that clearly expresses our commitment to the personal
needs of your child. Our head counselors are all college students or graduates.
We
use high achieving and motivated high school students as assistants. In
addition, we
have a full-time registered nurse on duty.

from 9 to 5, but we offer early and late hours as
well, from 8-9 AM and from 5-6 PM. With convenient sessions, caring
